    Talking Vehicle license attachment?

Hmm I can't believe I'm asking this, but how exactly do you attach the Vehicle License Label to your bike?

I mean on my new bike the old label seemed to be stuck on with some sort of strong as tape. Where would I get this tape from or should I just get a pocket like for a car from the Post Office? I don't want the bastard falling off or anything...

    Cheers

    Hi Cronic

welcome to KB yuo'll meet some great people through here.

I remember someone saying you get the tape from the post shop when you pay for re-licensing (?) wouldn't know from personal experience coz my bike has a holder next to the number plate

Hi and welcome to the site

Yes, you can get the double sided sticky tape from any registration outlet. I'm sure you can get a metal bike label holder from any LTA/VTS outlet as well, and you can also get various types from Super Cheap. These are better than the sticky tape, as they don't leave any residue to clean off. Cheers, and have fun

P.S. I see you're in Palmy. Keep an eye out for the Manawatu rides and feel free to join in, they're always well worth it! There's one on Sunday in fact, check here http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=52142

Welcome to the site Cronic. Great first post.

You can get a small plastic rego holder from repco or supercheap that can bolt through a hole on your license plate.

Cheers for the replys guys, I'll go get me a plastic holder I think. Seems easier.

@86GSXR -> Thanks for that I'll have to check it out, although my little FXR150 struggles a bit with me on a windy day so I'll have to go on one on a calm day thats hopefully downhill...

    Hi there

If you go to the LTA outlet and ask for one of the plastic frames they will provide for Free

Had to get a new label a little while ago and they handed one over (with screws and everything). Mounted it on the rear mudguard.

At times little buggers with too much time on their hands have been known to rip them off when they are in plain site... The bike shop I use just gave the slip to me and I keep it with my in my wallet ready to produce on demand...

welcome cronic, i've found the freebie plastic ones from the ltsa to be the best bet, they fix on with nylock nuts which make them a little bit harder to pinch!
