Online Road Code, no bike section?

Hey does anyone know where the specialist bike section of the roadcode is on the net, i cant find it on the ltsa website.

I cant see anything on this main page that has anything to do with riding bikes.

Theres a perfect spot for a bike info on this page under the "spcialist questions for car drivers" link, but nothing there.

I have a feeling ltsa is not being fair on us bike riders, making us pay for the book but giving car drivers their info for free.

There are also no copies of the Motorcyclist's Road Code in any Wellington shop that normally stocks them.

I rang LTNZ on Friday. They said they'd get back to me about both issues.

I'll post in here if I hear anything.

    Thumbs up Road code

Hi guys. I have been using this web page for practice. It has 70 plus motorcycle questions on it.

    http://www.drivinginstructor.co.nz/i.../test_menu.php

Also try Whitcoulls for Motorcycle Road Code.

I got my one from the Library. I also noticed that the BP sells them too, as well at the scratchy papers. I brought a scratchy paper (general) from them, they didn't have the specialist questions.

Also you could go to www.roadcodetest.co.nz

I signed up, pay $20 and you get all the tests to practice on for 6 weeks. Well worth it.

Whitcoulls Cuba Mall and Lambton Quay don't have them and when I inquired they said they don't plan to stock them. Dymocks and Borders don't have them either, and Paper Plus in the Hutt doesn't have them.

Whitcoulls in Lower Hutt didn't have them on Saturday when I checked.

Must have been Thursday. I wore my feet out on Friday trying to find one for a work mate.

We stock the road code for car truck and bike. There is a new format out two books, have any of you used this and do you find it easier to use than the old book? As this is the reason given for the new format.

Yes that website has the official questions - both general and motorcycle (you need to know both). The only questions not included on there are the diagram give way ones - you need the printed roadcode book for that. It's a good website as you can choose your answers and get them checked by the site.

Re finding a Motorcycle road code book....try the AA....they should always stock them since that is where you go to sit the tests.

Good luck to everyone sitting their tests!!

Congrats for passing Dargor. All the things I will be looking forward to after sitting my basic handling tests. Keep safe on the roads.

Jim2 - They must of sold out really quick. I saw them in Lower Hutt Queesngate about 2 weeks ago, was going to buy one if I couldn't get one from the library. But I know the BP had them, and as previously mentioned try the AA - they should sell them.

Must be quite popular now, everyone getting their motorcycle licence. Soon there may not be any cars..LOL.
