    is the rear brake on the crank side sprocket?

    Thats very cool. I love their innovation. I would give it a wee bit around the console, though that may spoil the look? That is an awesome looking bike.

    ATK dirt bikes and some racing HD's tried the brake there on Flat Trackers, I think.
    It is good to remove weight from the wheel.
    I can not find pic's of them at the moment, but could take a pic of one as a mate has a ATK with the brake disc on the out put shaft.

    Yes they do use Rotax motors and here is a pic of the brake set up on one.
    They still make ATK's new.
