    Another biker down (24 June)

Friend of mine (family friend of my mum and dad over last 40 years - used to call him uncle when i was a kid) was hit off his bike when commuting to work earlier in the week - car pulled out in front of him. He has been on life support since the crash, but died earlier this afternoon due to extensive internal injuries.

    RIP Derek.

    Sad news.

If I am to go on a bike then it should have been while I was racing, as a reult of my own mistake or even from an exploding motor. To go as a result of a cage drivers "sorry, I did not see you" is just not fair.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

That's hard man. There aren't words that I can say... RIP Derek.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them
