Which route did you take on way down Dave? We're going that way this friday (at least to Piopio then Taumaranui) and any feedback on the route would be appreciated...

Your asking the wrong bloke sorry mate - I can only give you vague 'that way' directions. The other blokes will help if they log on - Basically followed the dirt road as far West as possible from Tuakau.
Then from Raglan to around Kawhia Harbour and on the 'other' side of Pirongia - then the coast rd to Awakino.

Coming back Hwy 31 is my next roads to ride article.
