Boob's written off bike now sporting vertical handle bars

This I cant believe. Im not sure if anyone has seen this type of thing happen before but I sure as hell havent lol. After I took the brunt of the impact on my left leg I must have gripped the bars pretty hard & obviously from the pics here bent them verticle before the dismount lol.

Can anyone confirm if this is a normal accurance to bend the bars like that or not?

I think the poor wee thing is trying to surrender....

Looks like you went over the bars and bent em up with your knees? basically it's an accident so all sorts of random stuff happens... Nothings 'normal'...

they've just rotated in the headset. probably not tight enough in the first place.

just goes to show you how much force involved though

jeeze... poor thing looks like a rabbit that got spooked. lmfao.

as paul said, all accidents happen different, and have a different affect of both rider and bike. my own bin, my right knee left a massive dent in the tank. i dont remember it happening, but remember the evidence.

Looks to me like the bars are now U shaped instead of much flatter.

Amazing, the forces involved. You're lucky you weren't busted up more, Boob.

Kinda an extreme way to get ape-hangers on yer ride innit?

But in all seriousness, that shows a tremendous load force - you must have been holding on tighter than a schooboy! How you didn't end up wrenching your arms or muscular system is a miracle! Guess all those gym sessions may have paid off! (hardly used this smiley!)

lol yep sure did pay off. I reckon I would of flown alot further had I not gripped & bent the bars so much. My jacket is still like new, not so much as a single mark anywhere on it, bloody amazing. So I must of popped up in the air and come straight down instead of sliding.

lol a car. The "experts" estimated my speed at between 70 & 80Km/h, I reckon I was closer to 90.

lol Frosty. No offence taken mate. I can only guess you didnt read my first bin thread? One minute I was riding along minding my own business about to pass by a T intersection & at the very last minute an 18yr old girl (licenced for 6 months) pulled out in front of me. It happened so fast I didnt plan anything, not a thing, didnt even get close to raising a finger to reach for the front brake, just............."SHIT"............."SLAM". Was only making reference to the condition of my jacket as I find it amazing that its still in 100% brand new unmarked condition, thats pretty incredible.
