There was a chaingang overseas assume this is what you are on about.
Will just be a marketing name for whatever they supply (probably several brands).
JT sprockets are plenty fine,
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Never used them but they are an australian made sprocket that is laser cut from stainless. Suposed to last ages. Not sure if you can get them here
I'm a fan. They are Aussie-made premium-grade rears that outlast pretty much anything else, plus they are lighter than most other steel sprockets. They also have pretty much every size (tooth counts) available, which nicely side-steps the frustrating availability issues in NZ.
Chain Gang sprockets (offline just right now for some updates but they've only blocked the front page). They make their own rears, but on-sell high-grade fronts made by others, along with chains. They're also making brake discs these days. The website only shows their version 1 superlight enduro sprocket, some years ago they started updating all models to the version 2, which is much sexier.
JT are a mid-grade sprocket, the ones I ordered recently I sent back and got Chain Gangs. The workmanship left a bit to be desired compared to Chain Gang. I guess I've used Chain Gangs too long and wasn't prepared to waste a premium chain on cruddy, heavy sprockets.
"Laser cut from high carbon steel and heat treated for durability and strength". Majority of the field in events like the Aussie Safari use them.
You can order from their web site, email or call. Fire them an email, Chris will call you back to get credit card details. The stuff arrives in 3-7 days usually. If you aren't sure what you want, Chris can help with gearing and chain selection, too. Very helpful chap.
They are not cheap, but the rears especially are well worth the money. Air freight costs hurt. Best combo would be Chain Gang rear matched with high-grade front sourced locally.
Oh, and you get to pick the colour, too!
