    Obsession

Yamaha don't just make bikes they make obsessions.
Anyone seen the yamaha adds on Prime? I've seen a couple the R1 add is great (that is if you are into sport bikes ) Looking forward to seeing others if there are any more.

There's a motocrosser one that's just as good. They are both great ads.

Good to actually see some motorcycle ads on the telly all right
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

It is, but wouldn't you use the R1 ad during the MotoGP? Seems pretty clueless to me. Some ad exec probably thinks all bikes are the same.

They use both. I don't think its clueless at all. Plenty of people who watch the MotoGP are interested in either bike.

Good marketing as far as I'm concerned. And I don't see any other manufacturer offering to pay for the MotoGP :spudwhat:

Last night was the first time i'd seen one. It was the R1 ad.

There was a cruiser add too - I guess no one saw that, just blocked from their mind.

I think they are great, someone who knows about bikes captured at little bit of us.....everyone looking, then running to see the R1....it's what we all think the public are doing when we ride past eh?....the kids talking about the dirt bike...''it's like flying'',classic....the cruiser boys, yeah, that's good stuff.

Only showing sports bike adds while the MotoGP is on? come on,you're not for real are you? I can't watch cause I don't have a sports bike....

You said it Figjam......all bikes are the same to anyone who's never ridden one. Especially insurance people and the ACC!

Heh... I said to my wife, "Hey! look at this - Yamaha has admitted it's all their fault I'm obsessed with bikes! (A bit odd I've never actually owned a Yamaha though...)"
Made me realise it's been a goodly long while since I've even ridden a Yamaha. Must be about time I did some more test rides....
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

My wife didn't - she said "How come they're all only cruiser type bikes?", and I said, "Nah - there's an FJR and I think the front of an R1 or R6 or summat."
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

Hey, that's given me an answer! It's been 17 years since I rode a Yamaha, but it was so much fun that it has stayed stuck in my brain (along with lots-a-other-rubbish).
My dear old 650 was a true delight. So, now I too have answer to the obsession question!

I can live with a little advertising to get MotoGP free.

Although, admittedly, they hammered the 125s with ads. I would have been pissed had there been that many ads in the 250s and MotoGP.

I thought that's what the pause button on the computer was for.

And what's this talk of ads?? What are they?? I know you see a few billboards scattered around the track but com'on, it's not that bad.
