went to ride away from my usual parking spot outside a busy cafe only to find that it was still chained to the pole. JOLT!

On my RG150. Forgot to take disc lock off, went down right in front of a cafe with over 9000 people watching. Went to launch real hard, got about half a meter, front locked, down I went. That was embarrassing as shit.
As a learner: getting caught on a 400 @ 80km/h in a 50 zone going in and out traffic - got off though. Wasn't as lucky another day - done for 135 on same bike & license but cop didn't notice licence...
Probably my dumbest was when I was learning, decided to chop down more than one gear at a time, dumped the clutch out half way through a turn, didn't realise I was in first until the back locked up (almost instantly). Fortunately I was going slow (about 25ish) and I managed to slam a foot down to keep vertical. Guess that's what learning is all about.
Wheelied over the back from front row of traffic lights with wife on the back and a huge audience !! Gaz.![]()
tried to pull a really lazy half arsed wheelie with gloves that very occasionally after riding for ages and moving around sit rather tight, so tight you can't let the throttle off completely or much at all. it wasn't half arsed, it was **** over... infront of a lot of cars. expensive and painful... hahaha live and learn.
that and probably riding from gym while sleep deprived and absolutely gym raped and clipping a car on a shiny just painted zxr while wondering why it was stopped.
ooh and trying to turn onto ladies mile at about 50-60kmh in a 90degree single lane bend with cold tyres.... haha good luck
heaps more things but i'll save em for another time.
Fell asleep once - with the wife on the back too
Was on Old Tram Rd down here in Canterbury, yay for the longest straight bit of road in the country!
Woke up before anything bad happened.
I honestly couldnt remember one really stupid thing that ive done that really stood out. My first year of riding was rather tragic and was filled with what I would rather call alot of "learning experiences"!Thankfully ive come a wee way!
