Hmm Day one of owning a zx6r....rode too fast into the drive, so parked on the grass, it rained, the stand sunk and the bike fell over.

Pulling up at the petrol station and forgetting to put the stand down, cracked left hand side of all the fairings..

    Dropping while trying stoppies...

My poor bike *looking back at this lol*

    Worst of all..............

Trying to release a g string wedgie in full leathers while riding!
My bass is such a slapper.......I cant stop fingering those strings

Man had a good chuckle reading that so thought I might share.
Minutes after taking delivery of my new bike I decided it was time to jump on and have a ride round my street.
Now I live down an extremely steep driveway and of course the bike was at the bottom of this.
One thing to remember here this is the first time I have even sat on a bike let alone trying to ride one.
No problem I think to myself how hard can it be.
I start her up and click the gearshift one notch up in to FIRST right?
Wrong! little did I know that was in fact second ^^
gave her a handful of throttle and dropped the clutch!
Things were going ok till about halfway up she started to shudder and shake and in a panic i gave her a handful more and legs flaing launched in to the flax bushes lining the side of driveway.
Not one to be discouraged I grab the flattie and we push her up the drive.
Right lets have another crack at this i tell myself.
And wobble off down the street this time in first gear and going ok.
however the end of the street comes up rather quickly and its turn to turn round in the cul-de-sac.
As i get slower and slower the bike starts wobbling mid turn and in a panic i twist the throttle the wrong way, mount the kerb and go ass over kite in to the neighbours lawn! while the bike buries itself up to her elbows in the soft grass.
Little did I know a bunch of the local kids were all watching from a handy window!
Now everytime I go out for a bit of practice in the street they all emerge from their houses in the hope they might get another free comedy show!
Luckily my skills have improved some so thats not likely to happen again .
On hindsight I was pretty lucky I did not damage the bike at all,and straight off the bat showed me just how careful you need to be when learning and to treat a motorbike with the respect it deserves.

crash starting a old trail bike into a garage door ( not my bike )

walking out of my mates house to drunk to walk, get on my bike ( VF 750 F at the time ), start it, bike and I fall over, with a handfull of throttle and reving the shit out of the bike, pick it up, turn round to see about 7 people in the lounge of my mates house laughing at me, bike and I fall over on the other side, pick it up again and by this time its getting heavy, somehow manage to back out of drive, then ride from Parnell to K road without putting my feet down for fear of dropping my bike. seeing double.

    There was this ...
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh....php?p=1036179

But a really stupid thing I did that did have consequences was to be adding 2t oil to a bike I had "borrowed" from my Dad for a few months, and then to look at the bottle I had taken off the shelving and realised it was clutch fluid. And directly into the fuel tank too.

That poor scooter had a tough time.
A friend at school (this is many years ago) asked to try to ride it. Sure, I said, so he grabs the throttle to hold it and get on - instant wheelie. However, he was able to hang on to the bike as several of us grabbed the bike and tried to stop it. "Let go" we shouted, "I've got it!" he screamed hanging onto the throttle for grim death.

That bike must have sighed with relief when it was written off.

I have only had my brand new Hyosung 250 for a couple of weeks.
Brand new I heard you say.

Yes yes indeed, because my 20 something year old Honda 250 CBR decided to catch itself on fire in our drive way nearly taking the house and cars with it.

Refusing to get on anything that wasnt brand new, in fear of another catching on fire, hyosung it was.

So I went with boyfriend for first "big" ride down to Foxton, coming back at the lights the brand new hyobag dies. Honestly....

Had heaps of cars behind me, I panicked jumped off the bike to push it off to the side to get out of the way, lost my balance. Bang down she went....there were tears.
(turns out Id hit the kill switch...bloody thing)

Thankfully had boyfriend there to help me get her back up, bloody heavy, only took a $10 indicator to get it back and the paint, who knows how, was all fine. But it appart from the old honda catching on fire (which apparently was bad luck) dropping my BRAND NEW bike in front of lots of people is the stupid thing I have done....so far, as I said havent had it long

Thanks to all those who have posted, it made me feel alot better that Im not the only one doing silly things while learning....

Seeing a large stag at the side of the road, braking hard (sensible), then accelerating again as he turned away to "help" him decide to run away (the stupid bit)... of course he changed his mind again...
So I guess this could also count for the one and only stupid thing the stag did while on my bike??

Stupid thing when I was a kid - Tying a rope to the back of my bike (WTF?) and riding round and round a pole... and down I went. What was I thinking??

Going top speed on my minimoto, clipping the foot peg in a corner going around a 4x2 piece of wood and flipping, both me and the bike.

Was a write off after that. But I picked it up the bike and pieces laughed then walked away

Locking up the front wheel when it was raining on the way to the doctors with a urine sample in the pocket on my right hip.

I was lucky enough to fall onto my left side and as I lowsided and slid down the road all I could think about was not rolling over.

    The jar didnt break.

Top of my list is a real beaut...When I was 18 I went to a party at a mates place...It was cold and wet, but inside real warm. We played euchre most of the night while getting more and more stoned...then had the bright idea to get pissed on top of being stoned...as most people know it is not a good combination. Well anyway, the night turned into a real blast....someone threw up in the fireplace, and it smelt like a badly made stew, and that reminds me of a story I shall tell later. Well, after a hell of a sick party decided it was time to go home so staggered outside into the cold, put all the gears on and hopped onto my crappy bike. Started up, got down the driveway and to the end of the street where I felt this urge coming from my guts...I pulled over but could not remove my helmet in time and I powerchucked into my helmet.......didnt even have time to lift the visor....

Whilst on my GN250 in my own driveway i decided it would be quite cool if i could do burnouts... Leaned forwards, got the revs up and dropped the clutch. I did a wheely and binned it in my own driveway. I had to tell people that i had just slipped on some oily/watery concrete.
Funny thing is i did more damage than when i binned the bike at 70kph round a t-intersection with a carload of mates behind me to witness the whole thing.

I rode my bike 20 meters...
With the lock chain still on the front wheel...
I was like "hmm... why is it so stiff today?" lol

Tried to do burnout on my old scooter at my driveway, but instead the rear wheel caught grip and
I crashed into the letter box.

One day I wanted a fast acceleration. So on 1st gear, I reved upto 9,000rpm (9,500rpm is the redline on Scorpio)
Then I gripped the clutch, shifted up. But stupidly I shifted half-way up which turns out to be the "Green Light" Neutral.
The engine reved up really high (I'm guessing 10-12,000?). I thought the engine would blow (It really scared the shaizer out of me)
