I will most probably overnight somewhere on the Friday night - perhaps we could catch up for a drink/meal if you guys end up doing the same.

You maybe trying to be funny, I am not sure as I dont know you

If you dont like what you read about our trip planning then I would suggest that you don't come, therefore no need to make comments such as you have been doing all day.
Jeez, who died and made you King?

His input as valid as yours, or does your five minutes of experience make you an expert?

Dave, for what it's worth - I've done that route and it should be no be no problems with standard Uly tyres. Otherwise yer quite welcome to borrow the LC4.

It's cool - I was being brutal with Col and Clint - if you didn't know we're tight it would look ugly.

And thanks. I' like to take the tractor, but I'm drinkin' veges tyre kool aide lately too.

'Bout time you got yerself a proper motorscicle, my Lad.
One wid long travel suspension and knobblies and only one cylinder...that sort of thing. I could see you on an KLR/DR/XR650...much more fun on the shingle.

Yeah - And the Tbird is sitting in the shed rusting. But the mrs bought it for me and she loves it.

I didn't like that LC640 on the CC at all. Don't know that I'm a thumper guy, you seem to have to be hard on it all the time with them - not me - I kinda liked the look of the super tenere Yamahas at Awakino. My size.

I reckon you could make a good scrambler from a stock 2nd hand bonne too.

Those Super Tenere's are actually quite peaky, and not that easy to ride.
Have you tried a DR? Much more civillised (engine counter-balancer makes it smoother) than the LC4. Mind you, I kinda like my LC4 (it brings out the hooligan in me). I really liked the big Husky when I had it up north too - it's probably got the best single cylinder donk I've ever ridden.

I give to you sir, the monster-truck of motorcycles:

    920mm seat high and a 950cc vtwin.

Now if we all had a spare $20K+ lieing around and were all over 6 feet tall...

Oh gentlemen, did not the mighty Scrambler prove its worth to the masses assembled at the for mentioned outing? Were you not in awe of its ability to break down, and ressurecte itself in your humble presence?
Those of such shallow faith should kneel, nenh wallow in nerve and fortitude in the presence of such mechanical splender.........

OK, I'll be there, just slow down and make me look good

    Lovely machine.

But what irks is I have the road legal parts of that bike already in the Buell - apart from the ability to fit Knobby tyres, The Xb12X's mass centralisation offers similar handling to the SM950 I tested.

The KTM is has more top end, the Buell more bottom, then I can fit panniers and top box etc etc.

Too much crossover for the $.
