Canty Adventure Ride ideas for 7th or 8th

The boss is working both days again this weekend and I'm keen to go for a one day ride somewhere. Is anybody else keen to go for a ride? Does anybody have any good ideas for somewhere different round Canty region?

    Cheers R

I can't this weekend, but I can the following - 14th/15th. But have fun where ever you go.
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?

Boo hoo nobody likes me, LOL. Given that day passes were used last weekend I'm not hopeful.

If there are any other "newbys" round Chch etc that are interested - I don't bite, don't care about pace and don't mind covering old ground. I just want to go for a ride given my 3 month "break" and the fact that the boss is busy.

Weather is suppose to be good.

    Cheers R

    The weather isn't good here

Wonder if I could dodge rain all the way?

A bike is a bike but I'm not sure about the "newby" thing - you were doing pretty well on the gravel road up to Oxford. The soft river gravels of the Eyre are hard work no matter the bike. A small trail bike just means you can stand it for longer!

Yous a funny bugger aye! just dont go to sleep driving along the motorways.

We went across birdlings and up the Bossu road to find about 2-3 inches of snow. Made trying to brake or accelerate really interesting but was manageable. We went round to Wainui then up the Duvauchelle Stock track and down to Pigeon Bay. From there we went out to Little Pigon Bay and back then over to Port Levy and Diamond Harbour. On the way round to Governers Bay a Harley had to be shown how to go around corners. Ripped up and over Dyers Pass then home.

Had heaps of fun in the snow. Would be keen to go for a ride in some deeper snow with some decent knobbies

    Cheers R

    Good day out aye Ryan,
Great to see you back riding with aggression!!
Highlight (apart from blowing that Harley away) had to be surfing the snow, wouldn't have wanted it to be much deeper though
    Until the next ride...

Ummm yer the boss is only working Sat arvo from 3 on so if we were really quick but that would take the fun out of it. We get 3 weekends together out of 9 at the moment.

Don't know if there is going to be much snow about by next weekend?? We should plan an Island Saddle snow trip though. Would be a interesting challenge to try and get in there in snow

Then she must get her bike out and ride with us... but maybe not in the snow.

Might be a plan, i think there might be a higher chance of finding snow up there on the right weekend too.
