    Honda Super Cub

The girlfriend has (wonderful day!) expressed interest in getting a scooter for pootling about the North Shore. Looking on tardme, she was looking at the usual Chino-junk and decrepit Yamaha 50s, when she came across a Honda Cub and fell in love! She's been looking at all kinds of information on the net about them, decided what colour she wants to paint it and wants a single-seat model.

I think this is awesome. Far more class than one of those moped thingies, it has a semi-automatic gearbox to teach her some confidence with shifting gears (although there's a centrifugal clutch), big wheels, and hell, it's just a cool bike.

Looking through Youtube and came across the video where Discovery Channel says it's World's #1 Bike, and then came across this nutter, who has built a 100cc version up for entry in the Japanese Vintage MX class. Smoking a bit, but still seems to go alright

Check it out! Looks like so much fun. I'm impressed with the way it keeps `pop pop pop pop'-ing up that steep hill, complete with wheelie at the top.

Awesome man. My first ride on a motorbike was on the Honda cub, 90 I think it was, hard to remember as I was about 6 at the time. I thought it was the best bike in the world until he got a Cb750! Wish he still had both to pass onto me.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
