    Yammie 05 R6......nice

Yamaha has released the R6 for 05, changes aimed at upping power and improving handling. The motor features larger throttle bodies, improved fueling and ignition maps, new camshafts and redesigned intake funnels - resulting in an alledged 3hp boost in peak power.

The chassis uses a USD fork and a redesigned frame and swingarm linkage. Up front, radial-mount calipers now grab larger, with fluid moved by a new radial master cylinder.

Styling changes are limited to revisions to the headlight lens and under-cowl.

And Firefight will be immensely pleased to see the exhaust is in the right place.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Very surprised they didnt go for the underseat exhaust. I'll be crossing that off my wish list, 600RR is still at the top.

It seems to be FF that, with the regularly of bike changes you seem to have, you may be better off negotiating with the bike shop for a lease arrangement on your vehicles, say for 6 months at a time, with the option of a further 6 month renewal. Sure, it's cost money and nothing at the end of it, but I wonder how much of a hit you take every time you sell a 1 year old bike for the new version.

How about R6 for 6 months, then gixxer? Just an idea...

Great idea, Celticno6, will discuss that with Mr Trash when the 05s become available. Thank you.

Might work well. I'll investigate further when Mr Gill gets back.

In regard to the sharpest pencil, you know it'll be sharpened to perfection for any KBer, and that's no shit.

Can anyone tell me why they haven't gone with the weldless frame style they introduced with the fazer 600?

I thought that frame was one of the best looking things around, and the R6 would have been a good model to introduce it in.

I suppose its because this year is just the facelift model; maybe next year will see the new weld-free frames.

Also, do the new Deltabox frames still suffer from steering head problems, like the older Deltaboxes (ie FZR) did?
