i am moving over to nz in january .bop area was wondering if there are many mx tracks in this area.any help would be great

Hi Roger, Where you moving to? I moved over from Lancashire to Whakatane last year. Plenty of MX tracks and plenty of trail rides. These are offroad riding of 20+ km loops using farm and forestry land. Bike doesnt need to be road legal.
If you need any advice or help just holler!

Moving to Tauranga in Jan 08 hopefully. Found a couple of tracks on google earth but not many. My boy rides also on a kx65. Whats the riding standard like over there considering Ben Townley & Josh Coppins are kicking ass?

Also a good MX/Supercross track at Tokoroa in the central north island, about 40 minutes from Rotorua in the BOP.

the Bay of plenty Motorcycle club has a perminate track at Whakatane, about an hour south of Tauranga, they run a mini track as well,
they run a big meeting every year in between Christmas and New Year called summercross, Josh Coppins is ment to be their this year,

Tokoroa is about an hour and a half away, they run mini track and big track as well,

Taupo is about an hour and a half away as well, they are NZ biggest motocross club, with clubdays up to 500 riders, also with 2 tracks,

plenty of tracks around tauranga,

Here are few sites to find out where to ride. Plenty of places to ride in and around Tauranga. The local club has a regular race series and so to other clubs within an hours drive.
