My mate has a lake house in Rotoiti so I could go there if its not rented for the weekend. With an 8.00am log in and a 9am or so start you would have to go down the day before.
Maybe I could organise a big meet up at Rotoiti with my regular riding mates about 7 of us and you guys as well. I gather you guys went the day before?

Just getting some idea of costs as me an my boys make 3. And I still pay for the lot. Could my youngest have a go at one of there rides, or is it to much for him?
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

i see no reason why not, nothing about the tracks of thiers ive ridden seems particularly diffucult, just long & tiring, but youth = fitness, so should be ok.

you wouldnt want to be anywhere overnight without bikes fairly well secured, we went the night before, but next time would probably just go that day

Damn! Hurls out injured again! Thats the 3rd year in a row! I was hoping he would be our number 3 rider at the MXoN. While there might still be time, I can't imagine him being in the best form.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

Heres a few photos a mate got of the race, I was riding, and he was pit crew for me and my Brother. He didn't have a lot to do most of the time so got a few photos.

I thought it was a great event, organised really well and great fun. The race it self went fairly well for me, I only managed 3 laps which gutted me a bit (my brother got 4 and was only 10min in front of me).
My start was slow because the guy in front couldn't get his bike started and I had to wait for some room to go around, after that it was just avoid the pile ups and keep on 2 wheels. Didn't have any major offs so probably not trying hard enough, will be back next year with aim of getting 4 laps in!!

Here are some more photos, I have heaps but these are probably the best ones. After I got lapped out I spent some time near that mud hole just before the finish and took a few photos. Not a bad place when riders are coming through tired and not concentrating well.

It surprised me how many riders were getting stuck when all the bogs had good lines available like the big puddle 3/4s the way around that bikes were stuck on the sides yet it was only 6 inches deep thru the middle. It pays to look before you leap unless you have energy to burn ,I didn't and chose not to do a 4th lap as I only had to do 3 (super vet)

    My favourite corner:

Yeah I'm pissed I only got two in I'm sure I would have done alot better if I'd done a 3rd.

My aim next year is to do 4.
