    Well good news (I think)...

The cops found the bike on Saturday night crashed between Ti Irangi Dr and Redoubt Rd or something... the guy did a runner and they got another good description of him from when he ran through someones garden... also they now have the bike which they will be fingerprinting today...

I went down to the tow yard yesterday to see what damage was done to the bike... but they didn't have the bike there... so yeah the cops told me to double check with the tow yard today if its there, otherwise they'll have to re-list it as stolen... oh well...

thank for all the open eyes guys I really appreciate it
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

Let's hope it turns up soon.

Good news that the cops had found it, not so good that it was crashed! Here's hoping it's hiding away somewhere at the tow yard or at least they know what's happened to it. Keep us posted.

    Hey Tam,
Let me know if I can help with anything in the repairs. Glad to hear it is recovered (kinda) bugger about the crash.

double checked with the tow yard this morning... the bike was locked in a seperate shed/warehouse due to it being a stolen vehicle, so thats why we couldn't find it... they do deffinatley have the bike, which is a good thing.

The police are going to finger print it today or tomorrow (they're gonna let me know) and then I can organise to have the bike taken to a bike shop for an appraisal...

I was thinking of taking it Spectrum... does anyone have any suggestions?

If by any chance it's a write-off, take it to Red Baron for a valuation. '92 ZXR-250 - they'd probably want 8 grand for it. But Spectrum seem like a good bunch, and if Robert Taylor trusts 'em to do suspension work, they can probably be trusted to fix up your pride and joy.

Here's hoping the cops match the fingerprints.

Lets hope the miscreant gets tracked down and the book thrown at him

Just be proactive on this, my flat mate had here car stolen, was towed to the impound, and then finger printed, the car then sat there for two days before she was told she could pick it up, and she had to pay storage fee for those two days it was sitting there doing nothing

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

    Finger prints!

Glad to hear the bikes back, hopefully nothing major as far as damage.

Hopefully with finger printing you'll get the greasy bugger that knicked it.

I'd think a few of us would have left finger marks on your bike from the last track day with loading/unloading it on the trailer. Hopefully they don't cause much confusion in the hunt for the culprit.

Nice to hear something good has happened - and that you're pretty baby hasn't been broken up for parts.

Yeah, take it there. Spectrum do a lot of insurance assessments.
