    I made it !

125 kmph changing crosswinds... riding bak home on the m-way from orewa to albany some 25 ks was a daunting task! Even though I was doin max 80 with highbeam and blinkers on with a visibility of barely 20 feet, crouched up into the tank tighter than rossi or caparossi have ever been; i though I wuda binned it atleast 2ce along the way, many thoughts came rushing back to mind... but thats a topic for another thread...
Only experience saved me some anguish today. I shall not do that in a hurry again if i can help it. Takin the bus to work tomorrow. But I am a better rider for it now that I am home safe and the bike is in the garage.

Top marks to my wet riding gear ( cordura) Im dry as a bone and my leather gloves, what brilliance, I highly recommend the spool racing gloves. 100% dry though theyre not even wet weather gloves. Lovely.

Didnt c a single bike along the way, must b smarter than I am, or musta been on the side of the road in a drain somewhere.
Im fuckin pumped and scared... my hearts beating 1.34 times faster than normal... I can feel my pulse through my kneck lol.
Fuckin top marks to me for not binning today and my 6 brilliant balance...

    Cheers Raj.

The very reason I stayed home today... bugger getting caught at work and having to sit in traffic... in strong cross winds!

And now... here sits I in the dark LOL... power outage. Aaaa yes - the joy of living rural. No pwer means no phone, TV or radio and no pump... so no water... toilets or showers LOL.

Baked Beans for tea tonight me thinks.

Does anyone know where I can get another brain, this one doesn't seem to work that well.

My thoughts will be with u at that treacherous time Dan, its a fukin mission. Id keep her at 80. I tried 70 was too slow to fight the wind and 90 was too fast. if that helps.

Allow extra braking distances too... I found it takes 1/2 a second before the disks are dry enough to really start gripping in the pouring rain.

Stay safe all...bitch of a night out there

Good shit Raj to stay up AND dry!

I've been told I'm taking the car tomorrow, said I'd think about it, haven't had to yet and even in crap weather it's so much slower than the bike. And paying for parking messes with my moral stability.
I'm selling my new riding gear!! Only worn a few times get a deal Kiwibikers!!
