Soapbox house of cards and glass, so don't go tossing your stones around.
You musta been.... high. You musta been...
I have it on good authority that he's a whore that would pimp himself out to get a ride on anything with two wheels
Rocker looks cool, but I think I'll get a beating if the next bike doesn't have two seats.
I've been dead keen on the Nightster for a while to the point of emailing Pete, BUT HE'S NEVER COME BACK TO ME.
Last I heard they weren't going to be offered outside the US market, just as the XR1200 won't be offered in the US.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
The new rocker looks alright, its not my cup of tea but Im not in the harley target market.
The video is a bit much though. Truth and tradition? The Goldwing and Honda civic in the US are more american made that harleys now. They are using more overseas cheap labour and still demanding top dollar for there bikes asian made bikes.
The Vrod has to be respected, its Harleys first attempt in far to long in making a bike outside the retro midlife crisis magnet that the company is based on. (well aside from inslaved Buell, t shirts and aftershave). Its great to see a company get out of its comfort zone, although there is the motivation that they are facing a bleaker future if they dont do anything.
Liquid cooling is coming for harley in the next couple years, and it the best thing that can happen to them, they will not be knobbled by sticking to a tradition which has left there bikes overheating, cutting out and frustrating riders over last few years as they demand old technology (air cooling) that passes the EPA tests which puts out more power while still being like the harleys of the last 20 years. Fuel injection was the band aid over the last few years, liquid cooling will be the long needed cure.
Pete has/had a couple of Night Rod's in at WMCC (Sold unfortunately) they look even hotter in the flesh. The only thing are the bushed cans on them.... I reckon matt black would suit the bike better... but that's just me.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
I like the look of the heritage softail & the electra glide, but the other ones just don't seem that nice to me. Something to do with most of them being so much taller in the front than the back.
Thanks for the link though.
The Street Rod is a better bike than a V-Rod or Night Rod, but $40k is too much money for a Street Bike that would struggle to be as versatile as a Hyosung GT650, an SV650, or even a Z750S.
I've got a horrible feeling the Nightster would be more than $20k if it came to NZ.

That Nightster is pretty damn nice.
