I think I'd go with Suzuki. A bit poor on some finishing, but great motors.

I've only owned 12 bikes so far, all Japanese (except a Vespa 150 Super sport - oh yes!!). Personally I've never had any problems motorwise with any of my Suzukis or Yammies. The Hondas I've owned have always been nicely finished but seem strangely agricultural in the gearbox (a strength on the Suzukis).

Taking up riding in the mid 70's was great. Got to ride almost all types/configurations of bikes.

Two and four strokes, singles, twins, triples, fours, V twins, dirt and road. They were all great fun, but I wouldn't rate any of them as great bikes.

Something with , preferably 2 wheels (round) and more power and handling than I can ever use.......yeah....that should do the trick!

What is it with people spelling that wrong. It's like the two 'i's on either side play with their heads or something.

Oh and on the poll, can't say. No brand loyalty here as far as bikes go.

Can't vote for more than one, so can't vote at all.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.

Well Steve, good effort on the poll regardless of the negative comments so far from certain members. There seems to be a higher standard required on KB nowadays? At least you're making a worthwhile contribution!

I've owned the following bikes in order:
    1. Honda MB100
    2. Suzuki GSXR250
    3. Suzuki GSXR750WM
    4. Honda CBR900RR
    5. Honda CBR600F
    6. Kawasaki ZX-6R
    7. Honda CBR600F
So historically I am a Honda man! But if you asked me what I would buy next I would list the following models, not necessarily in order of preference:
    • Honda CBR600/1000
    • Suzuki GSXR600/1000
    • Yamaha R6/R1
    • Kawasaki 636/ZX-10
See, I'm quite easy to please really!

I voted for BMW, but I really have no idea.
Norton, Triumph, Ducati and Buell have some bloody good looking bikes,
    The jappers are reliable
Beemers have great parts support, if somewhat expensive.
Laverdas kinda look and sound nice

I'm not a Harley/cruiser kinda person, Cagivas are all ugly, and I dunno about aprilias - they seem to be race machines, and thats not me either. I'll have to claim complete ignorance about Guzzis, except that Paul's one is ugly .
    Bimotas/Gileras/Voxans... What???

So can I vote for all of the former, and for some of the models in each only?

Many reasons why you might want one... Maybe you want to use it as a coffee table or something

i voted Honda cos I currently own one. I like all brands cos they all put out good bikes, but i usually buy rice-burners cos they aren't as pricy as the others!

    Damn

    thats a hard choice.

    I like :
    -Yamaha's R1
    -Suzuki's SV1000
    -Honda's Fireblade
    -Aprillia's RSV
    -Kawasaki's Ninja
    -Harley Davidson's V ROD
    -Suzuki's K4

    Well since I like 2 Suzuki's, I guess it's that.
