Dunlop / 04 R1 Tyre Info? Any help appreciated

Say, would anyone know what speed the tyres sold on the R1 are rated to? They are Dunlop's, but I don't know the exact model. Would there be any problem with speed between the 250 - 300 mark?

It would be unusual for a manufacturer to install tyres that aren;t speed rated for the potential of the bike. Tell you what. Go outside, write down the bit with the fancy numbers next to it and then post it here or go to the Dunlop site and it will tell what those numbers and letters mean.

Your bike comes standard with ZR rated tyres. There are two categories of ZR:

ZR+ Speed Symbol "W" Tyres marked with both designations for vehicles with speed capability over 240 Km/h but not exceeding 270 Km/h
ZR+ Speed Symbol "Y" Tyres marked with both designations for vehicles with speed capability over 240 Km/h but not exceeding 300 Km/h

    You'll be fine.

Now stop looking for excuses and go out and beat WT.

Aren't they rated for 100km?? After that the potential of the tyres for costing you lots of $$ goes up expendentially.
Life is difficult because it is non-linear.

Doesn't matter what your tyres are rated to matey! You're fucken dead

The tyres will be rated in excess of the bikes cababilities, fear not. Or do I see an excuse on the horizon......

    Seriously now... :P

What are you bringing? Be it my inexperience, bad pull away or just a faster accelerating bike, but some guy beat the shit out of me at a set of traffic lights the other day. I was all like, HEY, you can't bloody do that! hehe

Z is the speed rating, the highest currently available. Over 240 km/h continuous
W or Y is the load rating.
    R stands for radial
