Ouch. $300. Bet you're not popular with 'er indoors jrandom.

Attention Dr Cullen. Better amend those figures. Lets make it $7,400,000,300 surplus now...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yeah. I prefer SH28 for a scenic route home from the shore, really.

A-hem. Hmmmph. Cough. The ticket's, er, still in my wallet.

You know, I worked a lot of overtime in '03 (too much, in fact). I figured out this morning that in the financial year to the end of March '04, I paid precisely enough income tax to cover two single mothers on the DPB with two kids each.

And I still don't have any of what was left to play with.

At least you didnt question the wisdom of focussing on speed, and you have accepted that you were prepared to kill...

    sux JR... bloody holdens!
but be happy you weren't going around somebody at the time, which happens around here lots (due to pensioners doing 23kph)
you'd think motorcycle manufacturers might come up with mirrors that show more than elbows soon... after all, we can get HP on tap, but sill cant see what happened yesterday!

ALL of us are guilty of strolling over the legal speed limit by 20-30kms from time to time, and if you don't...are you sure you ride a motorbike (scoots excluded)?

Its not so much a stroll, as a definite walk or even a decent hike, at least on all the bikes I've owned...

Milky's ZXR400 is an exception to that though. It seems to like 120ish (maybe because thats where I notice it getting to and I manage not to let it go too much above). It keeps going there, and I keep saying "down boy", but it just goes back there by itself, I swear....

Sorry to put a damper on the "Feel sorry for JR" thread. BUT yes you could have taken some kid out at that speed if the ball had rolled out on the road. Or yourself and how the hell would KB survive without JR. I know I am a bit of a nana but ................

well, yes... but that could happen in any rural town with a 70kmh speed limit too... I know the speed limit is there for a (good?) reason, but accidents do happen. Sometimes there is just no getting away from it.
I'm not advocating speeding here, just trying to offer an alternative viewpoint/look a bit deeper into the "over the limit = dangerous" idea.

When I said "I feel for ya" I didn't mean in the sorry sense - I meant it like "yeah I know how much of a dork you feel like cos I been there myself". He deserves everything he gets, so do any of us if/when we get stopped!

Dont get me wrong ....hell that is an acceptable speed in a cage and on a bike if you know what you are doing. But I kinda figure 50 kms for a reason. Maybe I am misguided ....ohh and I know the dork feeling.

Funny how when ya take ya helmet off and theres a chick how lightly the HP really are ...oops maybe I shouldnt have mentioned that one
