An interesting thought here.... Perhaps we have, by default, increased our safety standards. What were vehicles like when the speed limit was decided upon? And was there the awareness of road danger brought on by large amounts of traffic that there is now?

Meh. I'll continue to stick to pretty much the tolerance level. The system don't work if you try to rationalise your individual reasons for breaking the rules....

"There but for the grace of God..."

Except that in our rush to commiserate we forget that we should really be rejoicing, because your contribution to the quota has reduced our chance of being nabbed.

And, on second thoughts, I don't think the grace of God would have helped.

    Ouch, that's expensive.
It's an easy mistake to make, going a bit fast, especially in a wide and not particularly busy (depending on what time of day it is) road like hobsonville road.
I hope your mrs isn't too mad at you.

I'd like to say, goddamn nit-picking IRD wanker. But I won't.
33 over is a bit much. $300 would hurt though.

Oh come on, it'd be easy - You'd only have to go for about 5 minutes and the cops'd stop for a doughnut break....Even better, lead them past or through a food court....

Are you suggesting that if he was smarter, he would have been able to get out of being done?
