A bit tangential, but I once failed a warrant because of hedgehog spines sticking out of the tyre sidewall.

Ducklings wouldn't cause so much of a problem, though.

And I think that if my daughter is still bothered by dead fluffy things at age ten, I will have to consider my parental mission a failure.

With all this tax you are paying jr, have you considered maybe investing in a radar system of some description? Might save some pennies down the line? Or you could ride a to work

O well JR, wrong place at the wrong time & all that! I think I saw that same HP biker (there's only 1 on that beat isn't there?) on my way to work along the N'Western last week. As I was going past the Pt Chev on-ramp, just around the corner that cop was standing beside his bike watching the traffic like a hawk when he glued his eyes on me, and at that very moment I was splitting between two cars!! I looked in my mirror an low & behold he mounts his bike immediately and gets in the flow of traffic about 5 cars behind me, "here we go" I thought. He followed me all the way into town (off course I was on my bestest behaviour in his sight) but never stopped me - phew! He could have ticketed me but didn't. The feeling is kinda like when a police car comes screaming up behind you with his lights flashing and your heart starts beating out of control, you pull over to take your punnishment and he just screams on past...

Do you need a cash loan?

I've nodded to this same chappie, doing the same job (red light enforcement at the Nelson Street offramps) on many occasions past during my morning commute. It's about the least sensible place to run a red light in Auckland. I have no idea what was going on in my head this morning.

Heh. Like I said, I think I'll just let this lot fall through into the Department of Courts... I'll pay it before the second round of court costs hits. The delay is worth the extra $60 for the initial transfer. If I find any spare cash soonish, I'd rather get a new rear tyre.
