One can only hope if not he, then some reading this thread will heed some of the responses and view through the jibes to understand the intent. If one noob gets the hint, then the angst is worth it, and so is the jocularity. Some will escape the bonds of squidville, while others, naturally, will be selected.
Unlike Sportsbike.co.nz, KiwiBiker.co.nz has a rep system... I enjoy using it from time to time... I hand out a fair amount of green rep when I feel like it, or if I feel someone deserves it. On the other hand, if someone is pissing me off, or if someone says 'the wrong thing' when I'm in a bad mood, red rep will fly.

While I'm on your latest post... how exactly would you describe a "Squid"? and don't just say "ZeroIndex", "Carver", or "Sidewinder" cause that doesn't count.

Oh jeez, you're using the personal insult token now? You're so above the mark man. I guess I could go out on the ZZR1100 that's parked right next to the Ninja 250 and post about every little thing I do on it, but I'm not one to gloat I guess.
    Guffaw.

Will try to have fun while I'm putting my bike together over the next couple of days/weeks/or however long it takes... I've already had a very nice offer of a very nice Aucklander that has offered to help me make a stunt cage for my bike, so for that, I'm glad that not all Aucklanders are like you...
Here's hoping his heart is big enough to continue giving you help. I'm glad all stunters aren't like you.

What i dont understand is why when someone makes a mistake doing what he enjoys doing everyone flames him... i know zeroindex personally and i know that his riding is not suicidal at all... he just enjoys pushing his personal boundaries and setting new goals for himself whats so wrong with that... yes he bins it when he pushes to far but were would anyone get if they gave up what they like after they fail and why go NATO at him over that? you dont have to pick up the peaces nurse his injuries or repair the damage done all you fellas do is sit back and criticize his actions witch is very easy to do...

Im sorry if this post offends people but its been getting to me for a while just my thoughts....

geez, I hope I don't get this much shit if I ever try to do a wheelie and fall off!
I think most of us would be ripping around on one wheel if we had the ability/weren't too scared to hurt ourselves or our bike, cos lets face it - it looks cool and from what I've heard is fun too

Well I can appreciate all the sentiment spouted so far ... I'd like to do wheelies and stoppies to one day, but I need to get my skill levels up and have an appropriate dunger to do so (I would cry if it was one of my pride and joys! )

Zeroindex definitely is pushing his boundaries, which is a good thing - he understands what he's doing and why he's doing it. Other people are entitled to their POV as well. But in the end, can't we just all get along? Oh! The humanity of it all!

Basically the trick with wheelies is to cover your rear brake in case the front comes up too high... covering the rear brake with your foot isn't too difficult with a sitdown wheelie, but I feel there's a certain knack to covering the rear brake when doing a standup wheelie... I obviously haven't learnt that 'knack' yet...

Yeah, it does hurt a bit, BUT: sliding down the road after pulling your left leg away from the road, and half-crouching on your bike, while it's sliding down the road definitely beats sliding down the road half-under the bike... I'm gonna dare to say it was almost enjoyable, apart from looking down and seeing bits of my bike... not on my bike, while the bike was sliding down the road, slowing down from 90ish

Contrary to what most people believe, it apparently, while not fun, is one of the coolest things... I was speaking to some of the guys on the Scared Sheep Squadron thread on www.sportsbike.co.nz ...Rusty had this to say
"Dude , good progress.. as far as "the chick digs scars"
dude there is people on there pulling highchairs, helicopters, etc and 200 KPH standups... try practising a few slow wheelies maybe no handed , and keep the tape rolling, cos you will get in there(CDS) if ya crash.."
So basically if I had someone videoing it, I would be almost guaranteed a small spot on the Chicks Dig Scars 2 DVD... [mutter]stupid lack of video camera when I needed it most[/mutter]

Is that a dare or just an observation? Wheelies are fun... crashing isn't fun, but I like wheelies.

I moved my 'boundary pushing' to a different branch... I got bored of the whole speed everywhere, go FASTER type thing, so basically when I wasn't doing stunts, I have become a really safe rider. Unfortunately, I was only a safe rider when there is traffic, state highways, and in town...

Hehe, yeah saw a vid of some guy binning his Gixxer trying to stunt it and he's kicking and punching hell out of it... when his mates pull him off, he goes back and does it again and again ... poor bike, plonker for an owner

Even with decent gloves on bikes are generally harder than fists.. Ouch?
