...oh yeah...shes just yelling to me from the lounge. She also liked the Kawasaki GPX250, which was about the best fitting 250 around for her. (but still not as good as the FXR) The GPX get good press too. Havent ridden one though sorry so cant comment.

    Hi K.I.T!
150's are good bikes for smaller folk. I'm 5'4" and I can get my feet flat on the ground on my KRR 150. It's nice and small, but still looks like a proper sports bike. And being a 2-stroke it's got plenty of get-up-and-go.
The best thing to do is to sit on lots of different bikes and see what fits, and what you like.

Karmakillernz has just traded his RG150 at TSS motorcycles in Alicetown. Not sure of age or condition....but may be worth a look. This is a 2 stroke bike that has quite a following. ....just a thought.

Welcome to the nuthouse. Great to see another gal getting into the fray
Just sit on any bike you can, to see what feels right in arm reach & height. Comfort is the key. If a bike you luv has you on your toes, see if you can adjust the forks/ core the seat, as you gain confidence you can adjust the forks back to standard. A bike with a narrow seat is helpful too.
I found for my small hands that it is especially important to set the bars at the right position & adjust the levers to comfortable possie. There are adjustable clutch levers around that allow them to be closer to the grips, which can fit a few different models.
I'm a little over 5ft & I've not had a bike I can flat foot it on. (except a TY50) When I started I was more worried initially about the footing but as confidence grew tippy toes on one foot was ok. I would have liked the VTR250's, YamahaSRV/ renaissance & looked at the Zeal too but ended up going with a dual sports bike XT250 so I can off road it. I did have a GN250 for a bit too.
I still wish I could get a foot on the ground but I'm just a but careful of where I go to park. You soon learn to balance & ride to your bike. Starting with a lighter bike helps too.
    Good luck
