    Attn: Wellington riders

Hi all. Name's Dan and i'm a 2nd year geography student at vic uni. I'm planning a project for my gis (geographical information systems) paper in which i will create a user interactive map showing all the best motorbike rides in the greater wellington region. a large part of my assignment is data collection, i plan on two forms of this. the first is where i require your help, i want to know your favourite rides. aswell as this i need to know approximate times, conditon of the road surface etc and any other info you feel i could throw in. the other part of 'data collection' will be the arduous task of me out there on the road sampling new rides. the end result will hopefully be an interactive map document, with all the good rides highlighted, and non graphical info attached to them such as stated before about distance time etc.
So if you could post your rides , similar to the format below
e.g. Makara to Johnsonville. Appx time- 25min. road condition- excellent over makara hill, average, narrow between Makara beach turn-off and johnsonville. Best part – makara hill climb.watch for - trucks, small rockslides onto road. Category –quick cruise
cheers guys! p.s This information will not be published so no need to worry about any non targeted useers getting hold of it (e.g boys in blue)

Get yourself a map and ride everything that isn't a white road....&/or...attend the Cruisy Sunday Morning Rides on this site....&/or...the E-riders and other clubs that organise rides. You should be able to try all the good roads within a year!!

You also need to ride lots of roads in other regions to be able to rate your rides fairly so enter a Rusty Nut Grand Challenge or two.

Go forth and ride my son...preferably in the sun...but if it's windy or raining, just ride anyway.

    Live and Enjoy the research!!
