Sure enough, this guy should indeed do something about his riding, I do not know him personally, and quite a few people here are jumping on him, but I'd like to defend a bit.

I had crash that many times by 21, so telling him to sell his bike, could be a touch premature. Why you ask? I'll put my skills up against anyone here, might not win every time, but no one will find me easy to beat.

The fact that a person biffs it a lot, does not mean they should not be riding. It simply means they have some wrong ideas, and bad habbits.

Actually it was 3 bikes. Superduke R (brand new that day - nice), Ducati 749s and me on a Brutale R. It was the Superduke that did the loop to take a look at your crashed bike, not all 3. Your bike was upright and you were standing there looking embarrassed as you should. Given you had no money and this was your 11th crash, I'm glad we didn't waste our time stopping to help your sorry arse.

Number 11 eh? Perhaps you should consider buying a car or better yet, take the bus. You might be able to save some money this way.
perhaps you were with 2 other bikes but 4 rocked up when you did, the extra was a ducati, and it looped as well as the other duc, im not here to thake a dig at the riders, im just saying if the roled were reversed I would have stopped bike up or down.
From my pov and judging by the time of day and your tinted visors you had a good day riding, I also did but ended bad, that makes me want to better myself, not quit.

    Tough.

Sorry to hear you got caught out. Glad to hear you are ok. Is the bike easy or difficult to reinstate? Cheers.

    Therein lies the problem.

Equating "skill" with "speed" is the fundamental issue here, and the desire to "improve skills" by extreme riding on public roads, is always going to irritate people.

Okay, put your skills up against mine if you like. In a speed contest, you would wipe the floor with me - no question.

On the other hand, I've had only one bin in 30 years. So who is the more skilled? We may have to respectfully disagree on that question...

For me, true riding skill lies in riding within safe limits, and with due respect for other road users.

Pushing the limits on public roads has nothing to do with skill.

I cannot fault your opinion here, because a lot of what you say is true, and the contest thing was more me thumping my chest than anything, but the heart of my point is this, although I was very silly on a bike in my younger days, (up untill quite recently if I'm being honest), I now push the limit on the track rather than the road. It takes some of us longer to grow up than others, and no matter how many times those of us resistant to the idea are told, it has to be a personal choice to do it. Including a person on rides, and giving constructive advice, without lecture is always gonna do more than flat out telling them to do something different.

More bees with honey and all that shit.

Peace out, keep at least one black hoopy thing rubber side down.

    Hehe...I've got two Ducatis.
The first one stopped my shit from stinking and the second one gives me rock hard erections that keep on going without the need of drugs or mechanical aids of any sort to satisfy the most demanding of partners.

I'm thinking about getting a third one to grow my hair back...........then there's those ripped abs and pecs I've always wanted................
