Could this be the start of the return of the irreverends?

Hello Lou and welcome back, you've been missed
Long may irreverence remain (don't think it's declined at all). Unwarranted personal abuse is another thing entirely.
Nice to have you back.
Cheers
Geoff
Hi, Lou. Welcome back!
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
Welcome back matey
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
Ixion still lurks and speaks occasionally it seems, even yesterday.
So keep talking to us Lou we won't scare you away.
Cheers
Merv

That's because the extreme ends of the spectrum have been removed. The anti-social dissidents lost their mojo and replaced cutting wit with personal attacks and those that made an effort to create quality contributions were ridiculed once too often to maintain motivation.
Many of the people who have left or ceased to do much except scowl at the pap that appears daily upon their monitors had a foot in both camps too.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
Yeah, a bit of an education, eh Lou. Drove (not rode) for a bit more than 2 weeks in South France, mainly Provence and some of the roads are just motorcycling heaven. On the Gt Napolean Route (specially a road just off it) there were so many bikes (They outnumbered the cars!) I thought there must have been a major Rally on. But no. They just came to ride the roads!! They were from Austria, italy, Switzerland etc which really were not so far away. We may have good bike roads, but if you're serious, it's not long before you start to feel like you've been there and done that. Not in Europe though!!!!
Now I'm seriously upset. Planning a another ride in Au next March.
welcome back lou, sounds like you had a great time. been watching the tour de france, some great scenery there
A universal dream of greatness is that
We push ourselves to the limit
Yet still be brilliant when the chips are down.
Sometimes , The struggle kills the dream.
