"Race to Dakar" documentary on Doco channel right now... (22 July)

Charlie Boorman's Race to Dakar documentary.

    Documentary Channel. 20:00 22/7/07

    I'm watching. Are you?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

LOL. He's got to get it back off the last bugger who borrowed it.

I'd already baggsed it too. But seeing as it's on the telly now....

I think he means that Charlie starts out coming across as a real poofter, but HTFU nicely as the series goes on.

I just noticed the listing an hour or so before the programme started. Glad I did. Now all I have to do is remember that it's on each Sunday.

There was a link posted on KB once to a website about Canadian guy's Dakar experience. I had no idea of just how tough it was. The bits you see on TV, bikes blasting across the desert, don't go anywhere near showing the true nature of the thing.

A broken collar bone gota rip ya nighty

There is a competion where one can win 2 days ride on a BMW but one has to be over 25 and the small print states that they, being BMW Experience or Doco Channel can turn down anyone they deem to be unsuitable for any reason. But one does to keep the gear though.
