Was there 5min after happend . Would have been right there if hadn't stopped to let mate catch up on the top of Mt Messenger .Mate I road back with from Mokau had just had a drink with the couple on the Harley & there Son & partner at Mokau . Made for a sad day when a Local is killed so close to home SENSEI

Oh sorry to hear that man. Don't know what it would be like riding after that happened, I only just managed to ride after my mate crashed, and he was sweet.

He's wrong anyway, and a selfish prick. His logic is that his ugly 4wd tank will crash into a bike or Fiat Bambina. There are more heavy vehicles on our roads now than ever so most likely his tank will hit another tank generating more damage than car vs car. Since 4wds lose control easier his family now have a higher chance of crash testing his logic.

Yes, you're quite right. There are also a lot of trucks on the road (don't we know it!) and 4wd's are far less manouverable than any car or bike. I notice they also fall over and kill their occupants more often.

It's the perception that's the problem, not the facts......................
