Bit of a surprise alright. I've scraped, cleaned and trimmed it up for use on my scoots. It's difficult to keep the mutt away from the thing though :confused2
Wiener, that is one sick avtar.

I thought you'd get that all the time up in dem dere parts
There was a whole dead sheep spread all over the road up to The Hermitage on Wednesday. Assorted innards everywhere. It looked like it had been repeatedly hit. Probably foreign tourists in campervans zealously keeping left...
Not a pretty sight. Amazing how motorcycling makes one a connoisseur of crushed cadavers.

Having seen the way some cages are aimed it doesn't surprise me at all !!
Poor thing was probably scared out of it !!![]()

My Bro-in-law (now ex-Bro-in-law) found a hitchhiker on the side of the road once. The hitchhiker gave him a bike, which for the princely sum of painting a roof, and fixing some gutters became the (ta-ta-ta-ta-da-DAH!!!) XBR500RS Mutant. So technically, you could say he found a bike on the road. Although it wasn't actually on the road itself.
More sort of off to one side.
In the ditch, or on the verge.
Or summat. I'm not actually sure.
As I never asked him.
One shouldn't look a gift horse (or gift arsehole) in the mouth.
Not that arseholes actually have mouths.
Or so I believe, not having much experience with these things.
But in some circumstances, I'm sure that technically it could be classified as "on the road".
And he was "on the road" when he inherited it.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
A freshly removed sheepskin is old school. What it means is someone scored a sheep off of public property (ie side of road). The only thing is, if you do it, you have to remove the skin and leave it on a fence post so the farmer knows what happened to it.
Talking of slaughted sheep on the road, last year I was driving home from Nelson. Some time after Hamner, I got flashed at. Looked at my speedo, nope I'm alright. Looked by up to see about half a dozen sheep in bits all across the road with a truck stopped in the middle. Looked like the trucker had come over the hill and gone rampaging. Twas a serious mess.
thought you were gunna say "but it was just a skin"Originally Posted by firestormer
