But I hope you heal up OK, and I'm glad it wasn't worse.
I second both those points. Glad he lived to learn the lesson.

Bugger...sorry to hear that mate! At least your bike is ok though

Best of luck with the surgery...heal quickly so you can come out and play again.

Best of luck to you! Just think of how lucky you were to be able to walk away from it, could have been a lot worse!
And what is a broken thumb any way? Bet you don't need to use it for anything that can't be done for you.
Keep us up to date with the reconstructive surgery etc.
I'm gonna make it so PC

Still waiting for my share of the payout, though. Next time it's cash up front, motherfuckers.

Bugger. Isn't a compound frature when the bone breaks through the skin? So how would you have suspected just a dislocation?

Compound meaning the bone is exposed to air and all.

Don't beat yersel' up over what shoulda coulda woulda been - it's too easy done in this weather. I got badly out of shape at the junction of Reeves Rd and Ti Rakau day before yesterday going to work - slid right, slid left, slid right again and then normal traction was resumed. I was lucky to ride it out. Combination of shitter cars dumping their oil on the road and a fine spray of rain.

    Hope you heal soon.
