Hey WT, you're kinda elevating you status a whole stack when you say I think you're an asshole, what gave you the impression I had elevated you to that level?

Hmmm about 6 months ago I met an ex HD rider (was going to buy a black Trumpy speed triple due to peer pressure from his mates), whos' eletronic ignition unit went tits up on a trip down south, reckoned big blocks where the way to go. Mentioned something about 1200s where for pussies.

Now back to the topic at hand so to speak :spudwave:

...no I confess I don't wave at scooters in town....but you dno't see them on the open road either (save a few cold kiwi nutters ). I'd wave at one if I saw them out there though.

Some nice guy on a sporty red thing waved to me at the corner of Williamson Ave and Ponsonby - I nodded back, as I was going around a corner... If that was you - Hey! thanks for the wave - I feel all part of the community.

    I get that both ways.
I wave/nod to everyone on two wheels.
The sportsbikers think I'm trying to look like a dirtbike and the dirtbikers think I'm trying to look like a sportsbike.
And the Harley riders - Do they think?

Anyway people do stare at my bike.
They're trying to work out what it is and then I'll start it up and the smile breaks out on their faces and they go "Oh yeah"
560cc of single thumping out through a home-made pipe with no crackling to be heard and a gorgeous over-run.

When was that? Might have been me - that's next to work, and I ride a naughty red thing (you did say "naughty"?), and I wave to everyone. You do that sort of thing when you have no friends.

On second (or was that fifth?) thoughts, it probably wasn't me. I'm not at all nice, especially not today.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

He must be talking about Datsun 1200's, ask him how many 1200 'S' Sporties he has whipped, not many I bet - unless he has spent the equivalent of half the price of one getting his 'big-block' up to speed, - guys who reckon big block H-D's are the way to go have (a) too much money or (2) too much 'dream-time'
