    Harley rolls an SUV

Check this little accident out, 70 year old "officer" on the HD was going a little quick for a funeral procession.

I cut halfway through a huge funeral procession once before I realized what it was. I felt really bad.

Perhaps the driver just did not click.

after my dads funeral as the procession was leaving the church another procession went past the other way to another cemetry and half the people going to dads burial ended up following the other hearse they didnt realise until the minister doing the service mentioned the deceased name, i shure my dad would have enjoyed that

at one of the funerals i went to, a bunch of us left before the hearse. we saw it pull out, and a bunch of cars behind. we taked on behind the cars, but somehow the hearse vanished! must have looked funny, a heap of cars, lights on and going slow, but following nothing. we arrived at the cemetary before the hearse did.

im picking the suv didnt realise, as there seemed to be a large gap between the vehicle that was filming, and the one ahead.

I watched the crash over and over and...

yes, the one in the SUV should not have crossed. But I have to say that the MC police was out of controll. When he goes past the car the SUV starts to cross the road and he does not react, just ploughs straight in to it. Might have adjusted the speed of the pacemaker too high...

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Looks like to much speed and target fixation, I think he could have gone behind the crossing SUV. Damn Im a calm and fast reacting rider from this chair!

Poor bastard, 70 yrs old and he gets taken out like that.
Must say though, he didn't seem to handle the bike that well, should have gone the other side and not locked up the rear.

looked to me like he got a handfull of throttle, tried to get in front of the suv,
the suv accelerated and he knew he wasnt going to make it and decided to lay the
bike down to try and minimilize the damage to himself?!

i dunno, just my 2 cents worth...

The SUV had enough roadspace to get through the other side. The cop made an ill judged overtaking manoevre.

Cop should be facing charges for dangerous riding.

Cutting through a funeral procession lacks respect but is not illegal.

The Cop is in the wrong.

    Question Officer interferance.

The officer looks to have interferred with the funeral in a far more impressive way than the SUV driver. Hope the got the funeral finished!

Sounds mighty suspicious. Start another thread about it and demand answers from those responsible...

Apparently it is in the states.

Cop was more than a little late to get in front of the SUV, so just a dumbass anyway. Smart thing would have been let the SUV through then pull him over for the citation.

Okay - so you come across the funeral procession somewhere in it's middle. How are you supposed to know it's a funeral procession if you haven't seen the hearse? Therefore you would unknowingly cross when it was safe to do so thereby breaking the law.

    nasty.
