Well I've been riding for who no's how long. Probably about the time I was strong enough to hold a bike up. So about 11-13 years. And I'm on my second bike that I've actually owned. All the rest belonged to mates/relations etc.
David
Life is difficult because it is non-linear.
Non of your bussiness (I have 5 at present). Owned two if them since 1986. How long have I been riding? Ever since I "borrowed" the bros rock hopper pulling a sicky from high school.![]()
12 months ish and three bikes.
The Unknown Rider
legally, 0 and 4. Mind you that 4 years is more like 1 with the distance I did in the first 3...
3 months and 1 bike![]()
Been riding on the road legaly 31 years.
Had around thirty bikes, don't know for sure, most of em' only lasted a year or so.There's been in no particular order, BSA,Norton,Triumph,Yamaha,Honda,Suzuki,
CZ,Ducati,HD.
I got real stuck on Suzuki two strokes for a while, then the same with Triumph twins. The BSA and Norton were lessons on what not to do.
The Duke only lasted six months for reasons to do with needing to ride a lot at night time and not needing dodgy electrics.
The CZ was fun.The Hondas were boringly reliable and staid.
My first road bike was a Yamaha and my current bike was bought on the good memorys from an earlier version of the same model.
Now if I could just get me a 79 version and and and![]()
Four bikes, one Honda, one Suzuki & two Harleys, had my full since '87 but riding for lots longer (on borrowed bikes).
Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........![]()

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
holey cow-number of bikes -I really have lost count -over 40 I know that
as for how long riding--um shit -well semi legally i guess 25 years
before that on farm bikes i guess 4 more years
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
owned 3 bikes (never had the cash to own more than 1 at a time) and coming up on riding for 2.5 years
I've been riding 34 yrs,and ...um,I got somewhere in the 40s before I got confused and lost the plot. That's not counting the bikes that have come into my hands and vanished from existance,or passed onto someone else - like the CB250 with spare engine, but no swing arm,it didn't interest me.Or the very first AT1,a 1969 model, original white tank, seat cover, even the cute carrier rack,I got it running, but the mains were noisier than the exhaust,so the guy just left it with me.I pushed it round the back of the house, against the water tank, and it never moved for 6 yrs,I put the levers on my KT250,the wheels came off for the tyres.A CB200 with recon engine I never even attempted to start,it just rotted away.I've had too many bikes to know what to do with,I bet some have even been stolen without me knowing.
