    Hi Pete,

I commute from Paparangi to Seaview and back each day, on the Suzuki. I've got the option of taking home a work vehicle if I need, but it's much easier on the bike, and keeps the skill levels up too.

I see the traffic coming into town from the Hutt in the mornings, so you've sure got my sympathy. Must be a real pain in the cage! Drier, warmer, and quieter though.

at least there's not much traffic at 0400, and the truckies (generally) get out of the way. the biggest danger is people who have just got home from an international flight, and decide they want to drive to gisborne....

i still can't get over the tail for the southern at 0645 being right back (and often stopped) at papakura!

i thought about writing a book, but i've read others written by cops, and they are more personal memoirs than anything - i reckon a 'faction' novel would be the way to go.
