That is also discrimination against 'Senior riders'.I am 75 soon and dont think my style of riding has changed much in the last fifty years. I expect that many riders of my age, and older, would say much the same.

The tag 'senior rider' does not mean a thing to any thinking person, perhaps a young guy would be tricked into thinking us oldies are more gentle with our bikes. I dont think it is so.

Profile sorted. And I thought nobody cared! Cheers
Now I see you're just a young one close to my age.

Senior! How dare they! I'm as old as my nose and a little younger than my teeth! Ridden bikes for 35yrs plus!
My wife was convulsing with laughter and I worried for her as she staggered about the showroom!
Worse, was that the usual sales people weren't about so I couldn't complain.
My wife made matters worse by pointing out that if I was a "One Senior Owner", she'd better start looking for a more 'JUNIOR" owner!
"One careful owner, only ridden on sunny Sundays or owner now Sazuki convert", I could handle! But 'One Senior Owner' . . . . oh!
I'll be ringing them first thing Monday morning! The insult!
When were you last discriminated against as a biker, rider, whatever!Cheers lol
You got off lightly, they probably didn't know how to spell "senile"!

    Hehehehe.......

Well at least when you walk into a bike shop they dont think you want to buy a scooter like they do with me.... or assume I know nothing.......

To be fair a lot of bike shops are getting better, and a few even heave female employees which is even better

Mate, at least I'm sure they talk to you in the shop, when I walk into a bike shop, (other than TSS, great folk down there) I'm totally ignored, I'll admit, that being self employed, work is slow right now so I'm not in a position to buy, but I make a handsome living, and get snobbed for my appearance.

I gave a scooter I had when I was a teen to my dad (when in my late 20's). Dad phoned up his insurance & said he wanted to insure the scooter (Honda 250). The young female on the other end told him it was covered under his house & contents.
He thought about it a bit, then phoned back and spoke to her supervisor. The first person he'd spoken to about the insurance had looked at his age & presumed he meant a mobility scooter (the supervisor wet herself at this point).
Dad was not impressed (he was in his 60's back then).
Youngsters these days (damn, that's scarey).

Hope I didn't wake the flatties with the burst of laughter just then. Great post mate
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

I've met with discrimination in the motorcycling world on many occasions. I took my leathers to be repaired after crashing on the track and the person asked me when "He" needed them back. Any idiot could have seen they were made for a curvy midget and no bloke would even get one arm in em. I recently bought a bike on trademe and was told I couldn't test ride it, however when I turned up with Death (my partner) to test ride it, there was suddenly no problem. I've been ignored in bike shops on too many occasions to count and now too many occasions to care. I've finally learnt not to take it to heart. It's just an advertising ploy in your case mate.
