kinda reminds me of Ferris Bueller day off when he jacks up his dads 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California and puts it in reverse to wind off the miles him and his buddy put on it while his dad was out of town. didnt go so well!

while that would work the "more fun" way is simply to ride it till the odo goes right round the clock to the desired milage.
Tried doing that to the chicks bike I aquired but the damn thing put a 1 in the front of all the zeros so now I have another 900,000km to go till new. Nearly there.

I remember this one time, at band camp.......

Years ago I was working for a guy who had a NZ new laser or lancer or something like that and he was doing a shitload of ks in it so removed the speedo so he didnt run up the ks. When he came to sell it and was looking at buying a new car I suggested he look at jap imports. He said he didnt want a jap import because you cant guarentee the ks! He couldnt explain how he could guarentee the ks on his NZ new car he had been driving round the country for 3 years without a speedo......

Now I am more careful and put my white gloves on too.

Remember a mate many years ago who connected a drill on to the speedo cable and run it in reverse for a day..lol.
And some how this makes me feel really safe going out to buy my first bike?

My dad rigged up the odo on his ute so that the thousand figures didn't click over, only the ones and tens to avoid road tax (that way it couldn't be easily identified by a copper). I think the offical line was going to be "oh this thing just sits in the garage, only ever gets driven to get a warrant".
