Blah Barely legal, and almost fun

I have to share this one with you all....I finally got up to 100km/h on the way home last night coming out of Auckland!

Sure it was 4:40 in the afternoon, it was on an off ramp and only lasted for about 2.1 seconds, but I DID hit 100! I shit you not!

Is this a record in this damn town?

I don't believe you - you're telling fibs. And even assuming you did by some fluke of fate get your speedo to read 100, then don't believe it - speedos are notorious liars.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    yeah....must be absolute bollocks.

I did nearly 60 last night on the way home from work, and I nearly sh*t myself
I won't go 40 anymore without my radar detector on!

Why anyone would want to live in place that is beyond me! And here's me complaining the traffic in palmy is getting bad.

Just as well it's not America (well I guess Jaffa land is the closest we've got), otherwise the HP boys would be doing you for 205 k's after timing you between two queues on their casio digital watches.

Makes me realise that commuting in the capital must be a breeze compared to your daily rides.

    Keep those speeds down boys.

gotta watch for patrol cars sitting south lane after the dip south of manukau on ramp - using laser, difficult to pick up til too late. they were there at 0400am the other day, then on the southern motorway ramarama overbridge at 0330am another day (using radar not laser though - whew), and at the top of the bombays at 0400am sitting in the off ramp at the top of the hill (southbound) - difficult to pick up on detector as the radar beam is not being bouncing off anything. and be careful northbound over the top of the bombays - i have often picked up the hidden camera in the layby where the 3 lanes merge to 2 - difficult to slow in time as again the beam is not being reflected down the hill...

Where do you see all these guys? I hardly ever see polices anywhere, apart from lurking around the HP HQ (which I go past twice a day).

Mebbe you attract them, or summat...

Ex cop. So of course he knows all their secrets.

Thought of writing a book marty? Could have all the things to look out for etc.

Bet it would be popular in this country atm.

You could even send JR a free copy, coz he isn't going to be able to afford one for a while.

Yeah? Where do you commute between? If you're in a cage like me (mea culpa, but it's the company vehicle) in the morning traffic starts banking up at Melling and never gets much or 10-15km/hr after that.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
