The defensive thing to do would've been to ease off the throttle as soon as it became obvious that she was moving over regardless of your presence and let her in. Abuse can come after you're sure your safe.

However, given that you were trapped I think anything you had to do to get her attention would be justified. I dented the bonnet of a taxi once that tried to park on me and my bicycle. Even had a cop try the same thing but they reacted to the horn. Had a friend that kept an iron bar on hand for just such occasions.

You did the right thing Babyblade. Happen to me once when I was still on my 250. I used my carbon knuckles to give a knock on the driver window. Driver went back own lane, I accelerated and gave the finger. Accelerated further. This was a nissan sentra.

*bling* for being someone else that uses the term 'jesus handle' - because that what you usually say if your grabbing on to it!

    Hello??????
It's a sad day when anyone who votes against road-rage attacks is deemed to be a "moron".

Perhaps when you find out who it was, you could go and smash the mirrors off their bike. That'll teach 'em...

Indeed, I might strongly disagree with someone but I will defend to the death their right to their own opinion.

Tip: Next time you do something like this, don't post it. Well please do, but pretend it's a hypothetical situation. Because this can be used as evidence or some shit. I've seen it before.

A mate of mine always carries a ceramic hammer in his jacket, for this type of situation as they are designed for breaking windows with one tap. He said he only ever had to use it once, on some remuera tractor who was to busy talking on their cellphone to notice my mate in the other lane, apparently the woman got such a fright that she lockd up the brakes on the 4wd she was driving.

i genuinly believe that something has to be done when in these situations by any biker i would rather a cage driver has to pay for and expensive damaged part of their car than have a biker killed,

So i say if you guys have to breakaway!!!

I certainly empathise with the OP, but I do wonder what will happen the next time that lady sees a rider. Will she be courteous, or even more of a shitter?

That said, I often find myself wishing for pieces of ceramic in my pocket to educate cagers who think that travelling two metres behind me at 120 is safe.

who knows, but the chances of her seeing the next bike are greatly enhanced.

Carry a spark plug or two in your pocket, they can do the damage & nothing anyone can do to stop you as they are a 'spare part' ....

My problem is that it's usually middle aged asshats in late model Falcodores doing the tailgating - and if I missed I'd have no way to get away (250cc styles)...

if everyone who went for a car license had to do a year on a motorcycle first the world would be a safer place...nothing hones your driving skills as much as riding a motorcycle
