BuckBuckNo1 - The Hornet has landed

Houston, Tranquililty Base here. The Hornet - Charlie Bravo Nine Zero Zero has landed.

VStrom's new owner arrived from Tauranga this afternoon, I picked him up at the airport and he is very happy with my - now his - VStrom.

Shortly afterwards I collected my Hornet from Motomart and the smile is ...well you all know [couldn't resist the Alpinestars too]

That's one small step for BuckBuck but one giant leap for a whole lot of pleasure.

Look forward to catching up with you all when I build up my skills and confidence.
    Heads Up and Enjoy

Talking Another one bites the dust!

Great to hear your strom has gone to a new owner. Sorry to see you are lost to the great wide world of stromdom.
Enjoy the new bike, will you take the sleeping bag out and snooze in the garage like I did? Cheers.
When you take thousands of photos of your bike does the light from the flash weaken the plastic?

No, carried it up the stairs and put it beside the bed. Wife looked at me sideways.

Victor Sierra Tango Romeo Oscar Mike - VStrom has gone to an enthusiast. When driving him from the airport I talked about Mike Hyde, author of 'Twisted Throttle' and his journey around Australia on a Strom 1000. Turns out this guy is a real enthusiast, back in the early 80's he rode an XR250 from Melbourne to Adelaide, Alice Springs across Queensland to Cooktown and then back to Melbourne.

He looked like the cat that got the cream this afternoon when he rode away on the VStrom. I was very pleased VStrom has gone to a good home.

Well done Guy! Congratulations mate. We'll have to watch out for you and Mrs Kendog though...we might mistake you both for double vision! Eeek!! Two Trudis...what a thought!

Anyway, I digress....Enjoy the black beast...are you a bling man?

And pay no attention to those on here that will say "yawn...it's a Honda"

    Ceebie.

I have sat and read this post several times:

Me and Mrs Kendog - well I suppose Nigel may have something to say about that.

Double Vision - Trudi of course is the lovely one, I am just the old fart.

Two Trudis, nah mate one sheila and an aussie [in the nicest possible way of course.]

The black beast - stevedee the brother in law is besotted.... with the bike.

Bling man - now to be honest I don't know how to answer that nor should I, be damned if I do, be damned if I don't - 'I'll take whatever bling I can get,' [Nigel you understand don't you?]

Yawn it's a Honda - They can yawn all they like but I am just getting Fonda of my bike, and .....no don't go there.

    Heads Up and Enjoy

That Hornet and you look like a natural match! I will have to come down to Wellywood again just so I can see it in person (I think I am this school holidays, but I am driving my parents down in the cage! )

Once again, congrats on joining the swarm! Bzzzt! And knowing what Hornets can do to their owners, what bling will you be decking out your steed of freedom with?

Very nice Guy, congrats! Glad to hear that the sale of the VStrom went well too - it's always nice to know your old faithful has gone to someone who'll treasure it as much as you did.
