Went for a ride in the mud today....

It didn't go quite as planed...

    I passed Tim here...

And hit the tree about here...

and learnt on the way back to the trailer that front mudguards are useful things...

    instant freckles...

I'm sure that they are great photos, but some of us are still on dial-up, and just don't have the time to wait for all of them to load. How about putting them on as attachments rather than embedded, then we can all enjoy them.
    Time to ride

    Talking Mud, mud, glorius mud!

    G'day Mark,
Great pics and a good story. Pity about the front guard, but they are still making them. Looks like a job for the water blaster. Cheers.

    Hi Jantar

Is a whole 450k of photos too much for a dial up? If you view them as attachments aren't they the same size anyway?

Personally I much prefer inline photos to attachments - it helps relate comments to a particular photo and makes it easier to "tell a story".

Pampa/Johan - it was up the end of the Maungatokutoku Valley close to where we came out from the Karapoti ride.

Mbazza - as a tight arse I will try and cable tie the guard back together. Otherwise the day will start to add up. My son broke his shift lever and I broke the guard and a brake lever.

    Was good fun though

Hi there. Good to meet you the boys in the Mud on Saturday. Yep, Dakar radiator has crack in it - more $$ *%&@$!! Wet ride home in the rain, with a cafe stop in paekakariki to warm up and let the bike cool down. Cheers Rob

    Hi Rob

Pleased to hear that you got home OK. We got pretty wet by the time we all got back to the car and as you can see we had a bit of carnage after you wisely left. I also still have to get "Roosterboy" back for dumping half the mungatooks into my face as we returned from getting you water.

Give us a call if you want someone to ride with in the Mungatooks with - we need very little encouragement

    cheers

Thanks Mark. Drop me an email so I have your details (if my card made it back alive - I should have printed on vinyl!)

Anyone got a BMW 650GS radiator lying around they don't need?

Nice pics - sometimes you just have to say 'bugger the weather' & go riding.

Come & stay at my place at Rotoiti on the Friday before MMMMM if you like, Zukin, Triboy & Young1+missus are booked in so far, but there are still plenty of bunks left.

    Cheers
