Sellers sometime make 'mistakes' like these to get potential buyers interested in other shit they are selling.

It happens all the time at computer hardware shops - they advertise the latest item for $11 (an item retail value of over $9000) and people flock to their site and end up buying other shit like CD-Rs.

No dealer listings have Buy Nows or bid options... I wonder how many will be on Henderson M/C's doorstep in the morning?

They have some very nice examples at the moment....

Too late. Already sent them an email
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

I was in there on Tuesday and the had 0 R6's on the floor. Wouldn't get your hopes up, not likely to get a new R6 for less that $15.5k, or as little as $13.5k if it was a demo with a thousand or two km's on it.

It's called the "bait n switch". Old car dealer trick from way back
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

There are some peeps in England buying Ducati 1098's from the US and then having them shipped over. I hear they are saving mucho $$$$.

I have no idea what the costs would be to ship a motorcycle from the States but I would imagine, just from looking at what you guys pay over in NZ for your bikes, that it might be worth it.......of course I havnt checked the exchange rates in forvere......

    Give you an example:

There is a wholesaler in Ohio selling brand spanking new GSXR 600's for $6,700 out the door. No hidden fee's. Thats all you pay other then the taxes on it if your buying from out of state. Considering MSRP on them is $8,900 here in the US and if you buy from a regular dealer you'd be lucky to walk out the door for under $9,200 its an absolute steal. You can also get financing for them from Suzuki if you cant pay in full. Im considering buying here and shipping it over to NZ with me .

Perhaps some of you might consider purchasing your bikes in the States, prolly from some Cali dealer, and having them shipped over. Might save you some $$$

Oh and after reading R6 kids post that a new R-6 would run you around $15,000 NZ I called this same place and got a quote for a brand new R-6 : $8,600 USD. For a brand new 07 CBR600RR (the hottest 600 at the moment) $8,900.
So looks like it could be cheaper to buy from the states and have it shipped yourself.

    US$6,700 is NZ$8,775.377

Could have merit, but be sure to factor in an additional 12.5% of the CIF value (Value of the bike, plus freight, plus Marine Insurance) for Import GST when it arrives if you haven't owned and used it in the States long enough.

Not trying to rain on your parade, fella, but I've seen people get stung with this before from lack of research.
