    Bummer

Pleased to hear you are ok though (relatively)

At some stage you will actually enjoy riding in the rain and wet but that will come in time.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

    Blah

Sorry to hear of your bin... as least you are no more than a few bumps and bruises and bikes can be fixed...

As long as you know what you did or didn't do, you'll learn from the experience...

You'll be back on the bike in no time...

    Hi there

Was a close observer of the last two that binned on the same corner (# 2 and 3). I was directly behind them and squeezing brakes hard as I could see the people all over the road.

Will replay in my mind as I could see it happening and hoping that they would miss the solid fence posts.

The first rider hit the deck then next one brakes to avoid...loses it (good try man but you locked up).

Real shit of a ride for you that fell, just glad that no one was hurt too badly. Learn from it and work your confidence back.

BTW there was some stooped riding today guys. (not you fellas that binned) don't overtake on blind corners FFS and ride within your capabilities.

    Cheers

Sounds like a slippery corner, new tyres too?

I've just priced up a new set of gear at motomail, $1575 for helmet, cordura jacket and pants, gloves and boots and I don't think I'd be happy in anything less than that. I don't have tons of cash but would consider that a minimum, not just quality but fit so your comfortable and dry and able to use all your controls.

Hope to see you back out there getting some more K's under your belt soon eh!
I'm selling my new riding gear!! Only worn a few times get a deal Kiwibikers!!

dunno what your insurance is like but for me under 25 + learner license = some ridiculous excess (i think its $1700 something) so its not worth me claiming anything unless i total the bike really.

    Like I told u Sean,
Ur ok bikes not... fair trade.
U learn from ur mistakes, weve all been there. Thats what makes riding a bike more exhilirating than driving a car. 100% concentration all the time or else. Plus u didn't have the ks under ur belt to try and avoid hitting ur brakes in the first place...plus it was slippery ass 9I felt it heaps too).
In the end its just a bike and something a little hard work can replace. bones however.... or worse.... don't even want to go there... Ur doing well chin up and keep riding my friend. trust me its an addiction. can't believe I quit riding for 2 years.....

Chin up big guy! Happens to the best and worst of us - the trick is to learn and not repeat the mistake! Saw your bike, with a bit of TLC and some hard work, she'll be riding many happy km's with you hopefully

Rest up, heal up and get your two wheels back on the road as soon as you can. Then you and couple of us will go back and sort out that corner. Sucessfully and onwards!
