So why is the fact that these people binned and that people were riding dangerously not being adressed... why just Crashe and her lack of helmet?

If you are right, the point has been missed... sounds like lots went down thats not a good example to newbies. And we have already determined Crashe is not a mentor.

    Was I there .. your correct No i wasn't ..

however I have seen the aftermath of someone who has tried to copy wot others were doing .. & getting badly hurt .. make that very badly hurt .. with a very long recovery .. so when inexperienced ppl see others doing it so effortlessly it can make them think its easy to do ..

it only takes one time for things to go wrong ..

being a newbie rider myself I am aware of my limits & abilities & ride to them always .. but then I have nothing to prove either ...

In the end, people make their own choices - we all have done things in hindsight we shouldn't, but ultimately - we are presented with the spectre where a public lynching is being conducted.

What next? Not posting any piccies anymore for fear of it being used against you in KB? PM is where it should be!

What a steaming pile of bollocks.

I cannot even put into words how pathetic this thread is.

Perhaps a PM to Crashe expressing your disappointment in her actions would have been a little more appropriate, instead of what appears to be a PMS fuelled moan about a snip in time lacking any context, hereby propagating the effect of her so-called "blood boiling" actions to the crowd that you were trying to protect.

How stereotypical of a mindless KB rant. Do you not think it would be more effective "nipping it in the bud" so to speak, and effectively dealing with the source of your gripe, by discussing this with Crashe?

I fear that providing my advice may just be an exercise in futility in trying to explain that perhaps engaging the brain before the mouth would make this world a better place.

Come on!!! Have you ever seen the crusty demons or some of the stunting vide on KBs as said I want to do that. Get real when you are a learner. Crashe has never said follow me. There have been lots of KBs said that.

A pm to the said rider would not have acheived anything...trust me on this! It aint a 'Lynching' either...thats soooooo cowboy days... the offline support to Mom about this thread has been amazing....and nothing at all said in the tone of...'yeah get crashe'....

Goodness me!!!!! i dont know the details as I don't even know the people involved, but way I see it is .....PERHAPs the pictured rider is having fun doing what she is at say......20kph? if she was doing that speed on a scateboard or a mountain bike would it cause concern???? I think not. If someone pictured me galloping a horse down the beach without a helmet would it make a 'thread starter' on KB? I think not!

Anyhoo.....I always try to wear my helmet, but like most of us on here.....I bet we have ALL wanted to blat down the road and feel the wind in our hair, and do a few antics. Ive done it! Ive witness far more dangerous antics than this one.

Yep, safety gear is important. But C'MON people! stop the slander. We all like a little bit of 'playing with the odds' occasionally to keep ourselves entertained. Afterall......isn't that why we ride motorcycles to start with??? Cottonwool types go back to your knitting

holy hell you can tell shes only going like 5kph! ive ridden my bike up my driveway at at atleast 20kph before (with no helmet)!!!!!!! i'm critically insane.

and gess whats worse when i was at school our school teacher (you could call them a mentor) took us up a farken awsome hill on camp and we rode our bicycles down at like 70kph and we were only wearing helmets!

plus if you can't ride a motorbike with no hands you shouldn't ride a motorbike because it shows that you can't trust yourself or your bike to balance. not saying that if you are a complete noob and are only just learning how to balance a bike while riding you shoud try it, because thats just wrong. anyone with like ten hours of riding experience could do it simple.

also takes longer to stop from doing a wheelie than riding with no hands.

Being a KB mentor comes with responsibility... stuff like that should not happen on a mentor ride.... this is where people should be teaching newbies good/safe riding practices...
As a KB ride newb I was pretty impressed with the chill level. I got a shitload out of the ride. In the end it comes out +1 for 250 ride regardless.

How many bikes went down & why ?
Why was there 'stoopid shit' happening on a so called mentor ride in the first place?
This ride was supposed to be for 250's & others @ a sensible pace. What happened to change that ???
The came out..? I thought the split in ability was pretty well managed considering the gap in skill levels there. The pace was sweet as in the slow group where the 250 newbs were.

I'm going to wash my "holier-than-thou, never done anything remotely dangerous and feel that I'm above all nay-sayers" ego too.

Wait, that is the translation for helmet now, right?

Christ almighty!!! How would anyone be so careless?

IT'S HER FUCKIN HEAD, AND EVRYONE KNOWS SHE WASN'T TELLING OTHERS TO DO IT!!!

We all like to show off, I'm worse than most, but I'm proud of my skills, as should anyone be.

What say you of my gear free antics???!!!

Get off your high horses, I got nothing but green bling for this effort.

She is a mentor, because her skills are such that others want to ride like her, fair enough to get some film of what she can do.
