Honda 1100 AMC Shadow, ?TRIKE?

Elo people. Im almost finished my new toy a reverse trike, i have a problem with the gearing, its to high geared, as its a shaft drive , I can't just change the sprockets, also i need a wide flat section low profile tyre, the shadow has a 3 1/2" J x 15" rear, its seems to be a pig of a size, Has anyone ever tried to get a wider wheel on the arse of their Shadow? anyone know of a low profile wide sectione square cornerd tyre in 15"?

Try finding a car tyre that will fit that rim.

car tyres have a wider bead, tried to put a 165 15 on it, 3 people tried and it wouldn;t bead out, looked into it and discovered the bead difference, tried to punch a 15 VW rim today but it split!need a 4,1/2" J 15" with a even, sorry equal offset, loking at a Mitsi canter front,

Mind you I guess a round-section tyre would perhaps look the part better?

A smaller wheel would also help with the gearing issue, presumably - and again look more appropriate for a tail-wheel?

interesting???? mines a 15" and the bead is definatly smaller on the bike tyre, anyway, flagged the steeel wheel idea, de spoked it today and im looking for 2 sprintcar 2" outers and a lump of alloy plate, gone weld a flange direct onto the hub and get it sorted,

Sorted,,,2, 2" rim halfs From Arrow Wheels Kelston a fat lump of Marine Alloy fron North Shore Plate Cutters and an Ace welding and Machininininig job fron Jeff at Riverhead and a tyre from Dean at Albany tyres, fresh road test Monday..............clear for take off.
