    Went street racing today.

Honda sponsored a race on the streets of Auckland this morning.

    1 x Scooter
    1 x Car
    1 x Public Transport

Set off from three locations around the city at a controlled 8.00am start.

Manakau, Takapuna and Avondale for breakfast at t'viaduct.

I drew the 'Bus from Avondale' and finished third last.

Rode the T'bird to Avondale - jumped on a Bus to the Viaduct, had breakfast and rode a 50cc Honda Lead Scooter back to Avondale - funny as - full black leather kit eurotrashdave- 50cc and it quite blew me away with how well it went for such a small donk.

I had to slow down for the speed cameras.

    Results being tabulated.
I think I overheard the Bus was quickest from Takapuna - otherwise the Scooters carried the day.

Results and write ups will be in all the Mags - KR, Trader and BRM all had crews participating.

I've already submitted my report about bus commuting. It's called 'Us and Them'.

Prolly rigged, they are trying to edu ma cate the Aucka loff e ins on transport
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Nah - this was a full swing Honda production - stop watches, measured fuel, clipboards - the whole 9 yards.

But take it with a grain - there was 4 conversations going on over the table at the time. It will be well checked by the time the mags get the full data.

Big whoop - that just gets licence heat here.

Around the corners it makes your TL feel like a truck - or rather - made. ;-P

Note the lack of a 'real' bike in the test.
It said in the paper this morning that the scooter used the bus lanes on the motorway - isn't that illegal? Or are those particular bus lanes OK for bikes?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I can neither confirm nor deny that a certain Mr Lance may have 'cheated'.
