The description is almost exactly the same as a dude that passed me (in a car) coming up the Paekakariki foreshore last Sun when there was a heap of cars going both ways and he split us all down the centre. I saw several cars and a van that were so pissed at him that they actually swerved at him (not good).
He was what i would call a VERY temporary road rider.

My 2 cents worth to him , grow up and keep it for the race track asshole.

That guy who works at the lockshop is a very safe, careful rider. He's got a CBR600F
I would put money down to say it's not him.

I've seen the guy from the lock shop a number of times, sometimes I think he pushes his luck a bit. For example, one morning on the way into Welly, just after traffic merges from Ngauranga gorge and Hutt Road he passed me on the left (lane splitting, which is fine) while I was in the fast lane, cut across directly in front of me and then for some reason overtakes the car in front of me on the right hand side, between the centre barrier and the car Would have been a week or so later I saw him again, pulled up on the side of the road just past Murphy St off-ramp having a chat with a Mr. Plod.

And if your reading this Mr. lock shop on Vivian St, personally I don't care how you choose to ride but it pisses me off when another biker causes me grief by cutting in front of me and obviously showing no respect for anyone but himself.

Sorry, wrong thread -don't know the other rider in Newtown.

Can't imagine why anyone commuting through Newtown would travel down Featherston St to get to Grey st.

The thing that REALLY rips my undies about these sorts of riders is people will see them and think "effin motorcyclists - they are bloody dangerous and should all be banned/deserve every accident they get".

This guy is really not helping motorcycle safety and awareness on the roads at all and it f*cks me off that I will get lumped in with retards like him.

I hope he loses interest and takes up something safer, like knitting.

That's definitely no way to ride in congested areas alright! My Mum's in Wellington and I'd hate for her (or anyone) to get hit by this menace. Perhaps if one of you guys see his bike around town you could leave a note telling him how dangerous he is - amazing the effect a bit of peer pressure may have?

Actually Janno, knitting can be extremely dangerous...all those pointy bits flying about in a blur close to your eyes! I wear old motorcycle goggles when I'm knitting...just in case. Anybody want a teacosy?

I am a knitter extraordinaire, and have lived to tell the tale. No safety harness worn.

Knitting stops me grazing all night after dinner and is a good decompression tool. I recommend it to anyone feeling the stresses and strains of our modern lives. Amazing how simple the human brain really is . . .

A little note left on his bike saying 'To remind you not to be a cock'. I suggest attaching said note with a 6" nail....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I know who this guy is,but cant remember his name,he crashed outside Sawyers in Vivian street,in peak hour traffic,I estimated he was doing about 90 to 100kph,as he lost the front, skidded that far that the bike went through the intersection & stopped past The Kitchen Studio
He is a fucking menace,he is friends of the guy who runs "Streetwise" learn to ride company
