Well this has been an interesting thread. Here we have a KBer that has taken the trouble to show his concerns and used KB as a means of trying to get another biker to ride in a safe manner not only for himself but other road users and what thanks does he get. Not my concern and could not care less attitude from some here. Shme on those that have criticised LD. Yes he could have potted the rider but he chose another approach.

The thread was intended to be serious so there was always going to be feedback but I shouldn't have reacted after knowing really concerned LOCALS were on the case. The main thing is that positive action has occured so my intention has been completed and this thread is ended....Look after all riderss folks even if it means being PROACTIVE. Cheers.
I don't know why you think you need to apologise to me?

bistard and I have discussed this guy many times and there is nothing you can do (as Gavin from Streetwise has pointed out) to alter this guy's attitude. He's a knob. You're wasting well-intentioned concern on someone who will probably end up a greasy smear. You're not the first person to notice and you won't be the last. He should be driving a pink, lowered WRX, not riding a bike, if you get my drift.

You can't change people unless they want to change, and rounding up a posse to sort him out will just make this particular knob go harder.

Just ring the cops if you want to "do something" about it.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Thanks for that. I am firstly not a nark and I thought at the time we might be dealing a member as there are a number whom seem to delight in being the next Ghost rRider.

Jim 2 - I apologised to you bacause you aretrying to get the message across that it had NOTHING to do with the locksmith guy...

I think the thread has been taken over by everyone wondering if its him.

I have NO idea whom everyone is going on about but I think hes becoming famous by now.

    Time to die thread.

    4.Time to die thread.

    1. No one in this thread has labeled you as a 'Nark' (you seem to like to exaggerate), If you had gone through the correct channels you would now have a clear conscience and have remained anonymous.

    2. Exactly the reason why I believe its a mistake to deal with such issues in a public forum, You run the risk of encouraging such behavior. No to mention making the person your targeting 'famous', will they really modify their riding habits, to be known from now on as the 'Reformed Newtown GhostRider'?

3.If this is reference to the 'locksmith' who was the target of speculation in this thread, how do you think he may feel about being famous for being implicated as a dangerous rider? Another reason why a vigilante approach can be more harmful than good.

I am positive Lord Drongo you had the best intentions, but in all honesty you have done more harm than good in this case. Please by all means carry on being a Do Gooder, but in future please keep your boy scout antics to actions that dont implicate, immortalize or defame others.

That's not too nice stu dog. Lord Derosso (not Drongo) didn't imply it was LockSmith Rider. In fact Colapop first suggested it.

Don't turn it into a slagging match.

Hey stu dog if your mate was going to get into his car and drive drunk would you go through the right channels and ring the cops on him or would you go up to him and stop him your self ?

I and loots of other people see what Lord Derosso has tried to do, and that's to try and let that rider know that he needs to slow down.

If I was doing things like that all the time (and I have done silly things myself)I would rather someone came up and tell me to nock it of rather than ring the cops on me.

Quite an interesting read this thread has turned out.......and I think you're quite right that it would be best to have a word with the culprit before taking it further.

Unfortunately the rider sounds like a bit of a tit who doesn't get the message.....i'm sure he's read this thread since it started and if you see him riding like a loony in the next few days........shop him

    p.s. - it's not me!

If you guys actually read the thread you'd see he's been spoken to repeatedly, and I don't think anyone would admit to being his "mate".

Got to say, the cagers doing that was infinitely more dangerous than what he was doing. What happened to courtesy on the roads? People used to keep to the left of their lane. They used to see a bike coming from behind and move to let him past. Now it's very much a case of us vs them.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!
